Ethiopians believed to be behind Riyadh serial thefts

RIYADH — Two men are wanted in connection with a number of thefts at a Riyadh shopping center recently, Al-Watan reported Monday.

A number of salesmen in the center said they noticed unusual movements by two people, whom they believed to be Ethiopians, at the places were the thefts occurred.

Saqar Abdullah, one of the victims, said he had immediately informed police when he discovered things had been stolen from his car but it took officers more than an hour to arrive at the crime scene.

According to him, the thieves stole a bag containin
g jewels worth SR9,000 from his car, in addition to about SR5,000 in cash and a mobile phone.
