We will do our best at the 2013 Africa Cup says Ethiopian striker Fikru Teffera.

The ex-Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United striker told MTNFootball.com that he was personally looking forward to making the final team and a debut Africa Cup appearance.

"The group is not easy but we will try our best but again we know most of the teams we will play," Fikru said.

Ethiopia, who will be ended a 31-year absence from the Africa Cup, are in Group C together with Burkina Faso, Nigeria and defending champions Zambia.

"We know Nigeria we drew here (In Addis Ababa) 2-2 for AFCON 2012 last year," said the striker who now plays for Vietnamese side Thanh Hoa.

"We have played against Zambia before in the CECAFA Cup,” Fikru said.

"I also know most of the Zambian players because I played with them in South Africa."

Ethiopia will kick off their Group C campaign on January 21 against Zambia in Nelspruit.

Meanwhile, Fikru is part of a 21-member Ethiopia team that headed for Uganda on November22 ahead of Saturdays opening ceremony for the 2012 CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup in Kampala.

Fikru is one of three foreign-based players in the Ethiopia B team dispatched for the CECAFA Cup.
